Blogging comes naturally to me as I have a keen interest in many topics. I love to learn new things and I also love to teach/educate.
Blogging has great potential to earn money and some bloggers are on 5 figures/month. It takes time to become an expert.
Only 20% of blogs succeed and that figure is diminishing as the competition is growing by the day.
I’m cautious now when I write, I write for writings sake and not for profit. When writing for profit, everyone can tell and then there is no integrity in your work/blog.

Blogging costs more money than you might make in your first 1-5 years. If you’re prepared to master the art or pay for a consultant and design expert, that is something else all together.
An attractive and well designed blog could get you there from the start. You’ll naturally need to be great with your writing.
Be Realistic About Blogging
Be realistic about blogging, but never give up! It can be quite disheartening when people pull faces or are less interested in your blog or website than you expected. But don’t let that put you off. How much money you make from blogging depends on your instinct and the data. You will need to pay attention to the data, wherever it is coming from and which analytics or services you use.
What you want to pay attention to is the genuine traffic you generate, not the turnover. If you let a blog go before it’s full maturation, then that is a total waste of what you have been trying to achieve. Many of us bloggers have let the valuable websites and blogs go, without even knowing it.
Ways To Make Money With A Blog
If you have a great blog and readers/subscribers, you don’t want to go and ruin all your hard work with bundles of corny ads. Or too many ad displays. You will want to be quite discreet and not scare away your audience.
Travel Blogging is a fun way to earn from blogging. Sadly, this is not so easy for anyone right now.
Google AdSense is a great way to experiment with advertising and always keep it to a minimal. Readers who have ad blocker can go undisturbed as they browse your blog.
Influencers can also make money creating sponsored posts and Instagram post feeds. You’ll really need to be an extrovert and social media king/queen. This isn’t for the introverted stay at home nerd.
Banner ads are good but are they new and interesting? If not, you could be wasting your time!
White Label websites are worth looking into. With a quick registration and DNS setting, you could be running a completely professional site. Turn your dead blog/domain name into big business.
Domain parking and ad bidding is another great option. A small store if you have the knowhow or review site can pay you dividends.
